Dimorfhotheca - Dimorphotheca

Dimorfhotheca - Dimorphotheca

The most commonly grown is the golden dimorphosis and its hybrids, which give off orange flowers, yellow, apricot, salmon and white. The flowering period is in June-August. In years, when autumn is clear, dimorphotica also blooms in September, and even in October.
It is an extremely thermophilic plant, requires a sunny position, warm soil, fertile and well-drained. She is sensitive to excess water and lack of sun; on cloudy and rainy days, lingual flower petals warm up.
It is especially suitable for rebates and all kinds of flower beds, also for planting and supplementing perennial beds. Short-stature varieties are suitable for edging, higher - a discount for filling.
Dimorphotte is also an excellent material for a cut flower, both for flower arrangements, and traditional bouquets.
The seeds are sown into the ground permanently (80—100 g na ar) at the end of April, when the ground is already warmed up or earlier on the fertilizer protected against the cold (5—6 g on 1 m2), e.g. by covering with polyethylene foil. The plants are planted out of the seedbed in May.
The distances between the rows should be 25-30 cm, between plants in rows every 15-20 cm (plants sown too densely should therefore be discontinued).

Summer gypsophila - Gypsophila elegans

Its flowers are small and gathered in panicles. The most valuable is the large-area variety with red flowers, pink or white. It grows up to the height 50 cm. It blooms from June to August inclusive. The best positions for this plant are sunny places, about dry soil, rich in calcium.
Gypsophila is most often grown as a cut flower - as an addition to bouquets and wreaths.
The seeds are sown in March or April directly into the ground in beds with a spacing of 20-25 cm row from row; a co is left in the plant row 10 cm. On sowing 1 macaw requires 100-120 g of seeds.

Godetia grandiflora - Godetia grandiflora

There are very decorative red varieties of this species, pink, salmon, white, as well as two-color and in various shades, Single, half and full. The flowering period is in July and lasts until September; in full flowering, the plants are covered with a multitude of flowers somewhat reminiscent of azalea flowers.
Godetia requires a sunny position, protected from strong winds, grows well in warm soil, fertile and well-cultivated. During prolonged rainfall, the flowers deteriorate and new ones do not bloom.
Intensified, it is sown directly into the ground in mid-April. On sowing 1 macaw requires 50-60 g of seeds. Rows are marked every 30-40 cm, plants are left in the rows every 15-20 cm.

Sweet pea - Lathyrus odoratus

It is a climbing plant with flowers that have a pleasant fragrance. It grows up to 2 m in height; blooms from June to September inclusive. Flowers are in colors; dark blue, lilac, red; pink, salmon and white, also in different shades.
Peas should be grown in full sun in fertile soil (in the second year after manure), moderately moist, well tilled to depth 30 cm, hotter, rich in calcium, potassium and phosphorus.
It is used for cut flowers and for planting fences, balconies, meshes, altan itp.
Scented pea seeds are sown in early April to June inclusive, at 2-3-week intervals. The flowering process is continued until the first autumn frosts. Sown in rows every 30-40 cm, putting after 2 seeds every 8-10 cm. On sowing 1 and you need 100-200 g of seeds, depending on the row spacing. Sometimes strip sowing is used; sows. then they are in two rows close to each other (e.g. distance 25 cm), and then 2 the rows are placed at a distance of 80-100 cm, etc.; then for two rows only one scaffolding made of stakes is enough, wire and cords or a support made of branches. With this cultivation system, it is easier to access plants when harvesting flowers or seeds.
To cause stronger branching, young plants are pinched over 2-3 leaves.
