It is a relatively rare plant, extremely amateur, about short, because it is 4-8 weeks old, during the cultivation period. The purslane requires fertile soil, carious, rich in water, heats up easily. To extend the harvest, it can be sown every 3 weeks starting in May, in rows what 25-30 cm. The seeds are not covered with soil, but only tapped lightly. On 1 m2 required 10 g nasion. During the growing season, purslane should be carefully weeded and watered as needed.
Shoots are cut 2-3 times during the growing season; after the first cut, the bed is covered with a 1 cm layer of screened compost soil. WITH 1 m2 can be collected 2,5 kg of shoots.

Lamb's lettuce is an annual plant, sometimes two years, with a shallow and poorly growing root system, short, growing up to 10-20 cm in height. The edible part of the lamb's lettuce is the leaves that make up the rosette. They are eaten raw like lettuce; it is tasty, brittle and has no bitterness. The leaves contain pure protein, fats, protein substances, sugars, vitamin C., vitamin A..
Lamb's lettuce is grown for the autumn harvest as an aftercrop, because in summer it sprouts a flower easily. It is best to choose plants as a forecrop, which do not weed the bed, because the lamb's lettuce seeds take quite a long time to sprout (8-14 days). This plant has not very high thermal requirements and it winters well under the snow cover. The most suitable for lamb's lettuce are clay-sandy soils, rich in humus, with a neutral reaction. It freezes more easily on heavier and cold soils. The soil is enriched with mineral fertilizers, in the following doses na 1 m2: 20 g of calcium ammonium nitrate, 20-30 g superfosfatu i 20-30 g 40% potassium salt. Lamb's lettuce is sown at the end of July or in August in co-rows 15-25 cm. On 1 m2 is consumed approx 0,6 g nasion. After emergence, the plants are discontinued, leaving 15 cm gaps. Nursing is limited to weeding.
The collection of leaf rosettes begins at the end of October and may last until December. If we want to keep lamb's lettuce over the winter, it should be covered with haulm. WITH 1 m2 can be collected 0,5-0,8 kg of leaves. The varieties of lamb's lettuce are divided into small-leaved and broad-leaved. Foreign varieties are grown in Poland, mainly from imported seeds.
