Pumpkin ordinary – asparagus – Cucurbit

Cucurbit, that is, asparagus pumpkin, differs significantly from the gourd. Plants grow less, they have creeping or erect stems, bushy. The fruits are elongated, light green or yellowish. In terms of utility, the squash variety is divided into two groups:

– about fruits harvested in the ripening stage, i.e.. when they are properly grown, but not quite ripe yet;

– about fruits harvested in the bud phase.

From the first group in Poland, Kabaczek Krzaczasty Bezrozłogowy is on sale. The fruit is strongly elongated, light green in color, whitens on maturing; delicate flesh, light yellow or green-white. Zucchini belongs to the second group. It is characterized by wide leaf blades and strongly elongated fruit, with a delicate skin, dark green in color, mostly with white spots. Length fruits are harvested 8-20 cm, thickness 3-5 cm, still with the perianth at the top.

Squashes are sown into the ground in the second decade of May, socket (po 3-4 seeds), in spacing: for growing varieties -125X100 cm, for bushy – 100X80 cm. After emergence, one plant is the strongest in the nest, and cuts out the rest. In order to speed up the harvest, you can prepare seedlings in pots at the end of April. The risen fruit of the ungrassed squash is harvested in August; average yield from 1 m2 is 30 kg.

In countries, where the vegetable is widespread, there are many different varieties of it. We only grow one variety without a specific name – A bushy squash without a tree. It produces elongated fruit, narrower at the root, slightly angular, covered with a greenish-white skin, whitening as it matures; greenish-white flesh.
