Bench pergolas trellises

Treasuries and pergolas

Trellises and pergolas are often used decorative elements on plots and gardens; because they allow the display of climbing plants. Walls are called trellises, used to unbutton climbing plants. They act as interior frames, backgrounds for flower beds, a link between various architectural objects, etc.. Their construction consists of wooden lattice elements of various designs, supported on wooden or brick posts (of stone, bricks, concrete or clinker). The trellis can be free-standing or attached to the facade of a residential building or a gazebo. Trellises, as single shielding walls, not used to pass underneath them, they can have different heights depending on their intended use, generally not less than 120 cm and not more than 3 m. Low trellises are most often used to display plants, such as: fragrant peas, Roses, spoilers, chokes.

The span openwork structure is called a pergola. Element, composed of only one row of columns tied together, is called a one-sided pergola. The simplest type of pergola is a wooden structure, made of pine or other poles. The poles buried in the ground are connected at the top with poles, on which the crossbars are placed. All this construction is nailed. The pergola made of planed wood is prettier. Poles with a cross-section of not less than 12X12 cm are fixed on concrete blocks with flat bars above the ground surface, which protects them from rotting. The height of the pergola should not be less than 2,2 m, because it is usually a building, under which you pass.

Often used at the entrance, especially on plots, gates and arches. They are either single narrow spans, standing separately, or the poles themselves connected at the top with a crossbar. It can be a double gate made of welded pipes (Lynx. 14). Decorative plants should be selected at the entrance to the plot to achieve the desired effect, e.g.. luxuriantly leafy cocaine (Aristolochia gift) or wild wine. They give a lot of green mass of leaves and bloom spectacularly, among others. climbing roses, the sweetmeat (Wisteria sinensis), climbing knotweed (Polygonum aubertii lub P. bodschuanicum).

Depending on the plant, what you want to drive, an appropriate structure must be made. For example, roses can be unbuttoned on a weaker structure, and vigorous plants, like for example. kokornak lub rdest, require a stronger structure. Wooden structures should be impregnated with appropriate preparations, protecting the wood against rotting, e.g.. hot with linseed varnish.

Benches

A bench in the garden, and on the plot, is one of the most necessary equipment. It should be comfortable, aesthetic, not expensive – in many cases you can even make it yourself. The figure shows 2 benches in the streets (according to Biuro Projektów Budownictwa Komunalnych in Warsaw) [1] and a typical bench, commonly used in parks and streets, which can be partially modified. Not without significance, for overall aesthetics, is to choose the right color for her. Green should be avoided, not contrasting with the green of the plants. They should be “warm” colors in general”. The white color also looks nice with the black painted steel structure. You can also leave the color of the raw wood, then using a colorless varnish. Concrete bases should be kept in a natural color. Avoid any motley, such as multicolored "specks"”, stripes, etc., which do not increase the value of small garden architecture.
