CULTIVATION ACCOMMODATIONS

CULTIVATION ACCOMMODATIONS

The basic element of the garden are cultivation quarters. Depending on the needs, soil conditions and the location of the garden, you can separate quarters, wherein – as we have already figured out from the examples of plot development solutions – the typical accommodation will be the part devoted to vegetables, strawberries and wild strawberries. There may also be a quarters of fruit bushes, fruit rows of apple trees, pear and raspberries. Fruit trees are more difficult to group, which is placed – taking into account the necessary distances from the boundaries of the plot – so, so that they constitute a separate headquarters.

The orchard quarters should consist of 9-12 fruit trees and 20-30 fruit bushes. From fruit trees you can plant 2-3 apple trees (summer variety, autumn and winter), 2 pear trees (varieties: summer and late autumn or autumn and winter), 2 plum trees (one type of Hungarian and one of the greenhouse), 2-3 cherries ("Juicer” and "a glass”) and one apricot and one peach. When planting apple trees in a row, you can increase their number.

From fruit bushes can be planted: 4-6 black currants, as the most rich in vitamins and comprehensively used, 8-10 red currants, 1-2 white currants, 4-6 gooseberry, 2-4 grapevines. When introducing fruit novelties, such as: aronia, highbush blueberry or hazel, the specified number of bushes should be reduced.

When growing raspberries (preferably in series), the border with the neighboring plot should be properly secured. The emerging young shoots of raspberries should be removed in a strip width 40 cm from the boundaries of the plot.

Vegetable quarters – depending on the size of the orchard and the needs of the family of the user of the plot for vegetables, it should have an area of 60 do 1 50 m2. Because, for agrotechnical reasons, it is advisable to move strawberries and wild strawberries at once 2-3 years, therefore they can be included in this accommodation, separating the appropriate surface.

To make the most of the space and extend the period of harvesting fresh vegetables, it is recommended to grow vegetables in the form of forecrops, catch crops and catch crops. Therefore, there should be frames on the plot (is allowed up to 9 windows), foil tunnels or greenhouses. It should be on the plot, taking into account the situation on the local vegetable market, to cultivate first and foremost:

– early vegetables: lettuce, radish, chives, spinach;

– flavored vegetables: for, root and leaf parsley, buyer, celery;

– vegetables little widespread, commercially difficult to obtain: zucchini, eggplant, paprika, trętwian (New Zealand spinach), scorzonera, squash and others.

A decorative and leisure accommodation should occupy an area 60-100 m2. Its task is to create pleasant conditions for rest for the plot user and his family, and to give the garden an aesthetic appearance – plot. This quarters should have flower beds along the garden alley, beds along the alleys leading to the gazebo, water point, gazebo-garden house, the area around the gazebo, lawn, rockery, groups (groups) ornamental plants, pergolas, flower walls and trellises for climbing plants.

In order to increase the aesthetics of the accommodation, a rich selection of ornamental plants is recommended, annuals, two-year-olds, perennials and shrubs, ensuring flowering from early spring to late fall. However, strongly growing ornamental trees should not be planted.
