Chinese lampoon - Trollius chinensis

It is one of the most beautiful perennials. The cultivated garden varieties are characterized by intense yellow or orange flowers. They bloom in May. Plant height, depending on the variety, 40—80 cm.
Lamps require special growing conditions. It normally develops only in humid and sunny locations. They grow very poorly in too dry places, and after flowering they dry up and may die easily. They also hate being shaded. The best places to grow them are the shores of water reservoirs or other wetlands.
Globules are reproduced by sowing seeds. Valuable varieties should be propagated by division immediately after flowering.

Primrose - Primula

They are generally known and highly valued perennials, early blooming. There are many species and varieties in cultivation, thanks to which the flowering period of these plants lasts from mid-April to the end of summer.
Primroses are plants ranging in height from 10 do 40 cm. The range of flower colors is extremely rich. Many species and varieties have two and multi-colored flowers.
Primroses reproduce by sowing seeds, but only the seedlings of some species and varieties repeat the characteristics of the mother plants. Sometimes this property can be deliberately used to achieve a multi-colored mixture of plants. Most valuable varieties should be propagated by dividing the plants shortly after flowering, i.e.. in May or in the first days of June.
Primroses should be planted in sufficiently fertile soils and in shady places. Strong sunlight causes wilting of the leaves in summer, and in dry places it can cause plant death. Places that are not very humid or periodically dry are completely unsuitable for primroses. Some species even require very humid sites and are planted on the shores of water reservoirs.

Peony, peonia — Paeonia

A well-known perennial grown mainly as a cut flower. In such cultivation, varieties with large and full flowers on long shoots are highly valued. These varieties are not suitable for discount compositions, because large and heavy flowers are very easy to do, especially in the rain, they bend to the ground. The bedding varieties have shorter and more rigid shoots, flowers smaller, single or semi-double. The disadvantage of peonies is their low decorative foliage and it easily dries up after flowering.
Peonies bloom in June. The flowers are white, pink or carmine in different shades. Plant height from 50 do 90 cm.
The soil requirements of peonies are great. These plants grow well and bloom profusely only in highly fertilized and deeply cultivated soils. They cannot stand the alkaline pH of the soil. They require sunlight.
Peonies are propagated by dividing older plants in September. Dividing and spring planting gives much worse results. They bloom only in the second year after planting.

Rojnik - Sempervivum

It is a very original plant, forming a star-shaped rosette of thick, fleshy leaves, which may be reddish or brown in color. Often the rosettes are covered with a characteristic hair, resembling a spider's web. These rosettes play a major role as a decorative element. Flowers, White, pink or red, are placed on shoots of length from 20 do 40 cm. They bloom in late June and early July, often very profusely.
Swarms are very lively and very undemanding plants. They grow equally well in normal soils, as well as on rocky wastelands. Therefore, they are perfect for lining walls and gaps between pavement slabs, etc.. They require sunny positions. They reproduce very easily by the numerous stolons they produce, at the end of which new rosettes of young plants are formed. In practice, reproduction consists in dividing the older clumps, which grow in the form of stacks of rosettes. Preferably divide after flowering.
