Champignon

The most popular are (produced by the District Center of Horticulture and Nursery Plant in Ożarów): from the white races – intensive race OCNOS nr 2, made of light cream – giving very good results – OCNOS no 16 in OCNOS no 13. Breed clearly- or dark cream produce, on average, higher and qualitatively better yield than white ones. They are more reliable in cultivation and yield faster than white ones. The mycelium is bought in the so-called. in cylinders and for planting, it is cut into chestnut-sized pieces. These pieces are inserted into the prepared substrate to a depth 2-3 cm, in increments 20-25 cm. One liter of cylinder contents is sufficient for 1-2 m2 of perch area. When after 2-3 weeks, the substrate will grow profusely with mycelium, which is easy to see, the perch is covered with a mixture of compost soil and sand, gline, peat and carbonate lime.

You can count on the harvest after the next three weeks. WITH 1 m2 of perch can be obtained 5-6 kg of mushrooms (from one cultivation cycle).

After planting the mycelium on the perch, cover the hole with the perch with boards, straw mats and foil, in order to protect the perch against direct rainfall.

It is then possible to form perches sown with grass, whose roots, by consuming excessive amounts of water, protect the substrate against excessive moisture. Cultivation is less unreliable, when the dug hole is deep 35 cm, bottom length 120 cm, and on the surface 160 cm. The excavated soil is poured on the left and right sides of the trench like this, that the total depth of the pit is 65 cm. The slightly sloping side walls are smoothed. Bricks are laid on the bottom, on which the asbestock plate should be placed, and it is covered with a properly prepared manure base, as stated earlier. The bottom prepared in this way is covered with a second asbestos plate. Pay attention when digging the hole, so that one side is higher, then the placed slab will have a slope. The purpose of its use is to prevent rainfall and protect against solar radiation. Rainwater should be discharged through a special gutter. The plate should be loaded, that it may not be carried away by the winds. Another method is to make a narrow deep pit, the bottom of which is wide 80 cm, and the depth, including the dikes formed on both sides of the earth thrown out of the ditch.
100 cm. We make the sides diagonally and put the substrate on them (tilt angle 60 degrees). We also cover the trench with an asbestos tile.

Outdoor perches should not be planted until mid-July, and then the mushrooms will be harvested at the end of August and may last until mid-October..

Mushrooms in frames gives better results. It is also conducted from July to the end of October. After planting the mycelium in the inspection, the ground is covered with a moisture-retaining material, e.g. jute bags, and then a window. Here you can cultivate cucumbers, whose seedlings from pots are planted on mounds of earth. The cucumber leaves will protect the emerging mushrooms. The fertilizer used for mushroom production can be successfully used to fertilize the garden.
